Laughing Cow Cheese and my GWF

Wednesday, March 03, 2010

Not that these two topics have anything to do with each other, lol, but they are the subject of today's blog.

I started a message board topic about quick meals and many people responded suggesting Laughing Cow Cheese. I could never find it in the store. Wasn't really sure what I was looking for. Then some kind soul sent me a SparkMail telling me exactly where to get it. I found it at the grocery store yesterday, and OMG! It is so good! I have been spreading it on some KASHI crackers and it is just decadent! 35 calories for a wedge that will cover 4 big crackers. Total of 165 healthy, filling calories. I just wanted to share that in case somebody else may have never heard of it or was curious if it was worth trying, YES! It is!

SO today was my first day wearing my Go Wear Fit (BodyBugg). I can hardly tell that I am wearing it. I loved looking at my watch all throughout the day tracking my steps and my calories burned. I am in awe of modern technology! I wore it at the gym this morning and it accurately counted every stride I took on the elliptical and counted it as a step. However, the calorie comparison was off! I had always known that those machines over inflate how many calories you burn, but my elliptical said I burned 480 (for a 48 minute workout) while my GWF had me at 260. And I must say I was quite offended when I came home and looked on the computer and saw that it counted my time on the elliptical as "moderate" as opposed to "vigorous" activity. All this time I thought I was exercising vigourously! I better think again! LOL!

I seem to be just loving it! It really keeps me aware of my daily activity and keeps me motivated. I never enjoyed tracking my food before, but now that I can track it on the GWF website and compare against my calorie burn, IT IS FUN!

I heavily debated whether or not to get one... even had some buyer's remose after hitting that "purchase" button. I kept thinking that I will probably lose interest in it after a couple of months just like every other weightloss product I have tried. But then I thought, I haven't lost interest with SparkPeople! And it's been 6 months! And even if I DO lose interest in the GWF after awhile... I should be close to my goal weight in 3 months! If I can get to my goal weight witht he help of this "thing" on my arm, then "yes". I'll shell out the money for it in a heartbeat. My sweet hubby never even asked how much it cost, lol. That's his "way" of supporitng my weightloss efforts- never questioning how much these "fads" cost.

Now that I have it I am totally glad I bought it! And I (at least after day 1) highly reccom mend to others. It is exactly what I needed to boost me back up after a terrible month filled with terrible binging, emotional eating, and laziness. I am pumped up and ready to succeed at this once and for all. C'mon MARCH! We're off to a great start this month!

I love Laughing Cow!! I should get some. I'm getting bored with what I'm eating/snacking on and haven't had it in awhile. Yum.

I am so glad you are loving your GWF. It sounds really interesting and I told another person about it last night suggesting they get one. They love gadgets and also I think it would motivate them to see what's happening.

I lol'd at the GWF calling your cardio "moderate" LOL I think I would be offended. HA! That sure is motivation to hit the "Vigorous" level though, isn't it?

    Have a great day!

I love the laughing cow too - light is just as good and saves some fat and calories. It is positively to die for on pear or apple slices!!!

I also nearly had a stroke at the price of the body bug, but found a suitable watch at Wally world under forty dollars that does a great job of tracking steps, calories burned and also has a "hear monitor" - actually more of an easier way to take your pulse and enter it for a more accurate calorie burn reading.

I am so glad you love yours! I am full on not feeling well, and oh man are my numbers suffering today! It is frightening how few calories I burn when sedentary. But I cannot help being sick. Enjoy!

I also am in love with laughing cow and my body bugg! I use half a packet of laughing cow on my bagel in the morning (the other half the next day). The bodybugg is motivating, I am constantly trying to get higher and higher numbers. :-) Have fun with it and use it to constantly better yourself.

I'm so jealous. I want one, but had a mini-heart attack when I saw the price tag. Maybe if I ever finish our taxes, we'll get enough of a refund to treat ourselves (me) to a present... I can hope!

I love Laughing Cow cheese...and so does my 7 year old. It does seem like it should have more calories because it tastes so good. I have got to check out the Go Fit Wear thing! Keep up the good work!

I've got a GWF and I love mine. It got me from 180 pounds to 154 pounds. I am in maintenance now, and I think it is just as important in maintenance as it was during weight loss. I love my GWF.

I like the laughing cow cheese on some celery stalks. It's also a great snack! A little lower calories, if you've used up too many for the day. It's crunchy and satisfying with 1 wedge of cheese. emoticon
