Reached my ten lbs weight loss mark....and then didn't anymore...

Tuesday, March 02, 2010

Hello! Not a ton new here to report except that I went to visit my Significant Other this weekend, we make the best of a long distance thing between Chicago and Bloomington, and had a great time! I had been doing a great job the few weeks before and saw some real results! I arrived late late Friday evening after work and Saturday morning I did a weigh-in there. I had hit the 10 lb loss mark! I was down ten lbs! First time I had seen that number in a looooong time. So naturally I dragged the SO out of bed and into the bathroom to show off and got a hug of congrats which felt really good...However, Trips up their tend to reek havoc on my diets so by the time I came home early this morning I had gained back 3 lbs!!! Oh well...still nice to see a lower number for once!

The better part of this whole experience was getting to share Spark with friends! Two very dear friends of mine came over that morning to go to breakfast and we got to talking about diets and I told them about Sparkpeople. One friend gave the website to her sister to check out and the other joined herself!! I'm excited that she did! So that felt nice. I hope she has even better success than I do on here! Loves her!

To Love, Hugs and To Sharing That Spark,

Great Idea! I'd love to brainstorm over that next time we all meet together!

I'm glad you still feel the success of your loss instead of beating yourself up over a slight gain. You're not starting over. You're continuing on your journey. Weekends are really hard for me too. I always fall apart. We should come up with some weekend strategies and challenges for our group to help us cope.

I had the same thing happen. Just keep in mind that unless you ate 10,500 extra calories over the weekend, the 3 lbs. isn't real weight gain, but a fluctuation due to a whole multitude of possible things. So congrats on your 10 lb. weight loss! emoticon

Congrats on being down 10 lbs!!! I would take the 10 lbs loss. If you reached it, you will reach it again in a few days when the eating out visit fades. Traveling and going out on dates a lot on the weekends can be hard on weightloss. I guess you just gotta be as good as u can during the week.
