In the past eight weeks I've lost 17 pounds, had two minor setbacks, and really changed my life by adding a dimension of consistency, a good general feeling of health, and a massive amount of productivity. I think that by adding exercise, I've ended up increasing my energy and am able to get more done - which for me is huge.

I've also been able through the use of Sparkpeople to start itemizing things in my life that need to get done, setting goals and achieving them. I do think that I schedule myself far too heavily, but at least I am seeing progress. This is one of the best things that I could have done for myself. I must say that since becoming a mom, I haven't taken much time for myself and it feels good to be able to do more for me. I can't be much use to the kids if I am too heavy and sluggish to do anything other than the basics for them.

The other thing that has been a big support and motivation throughout this journey is my relationship with God. I feel that I am being helped along the way and that I'm not alone. I don't much like to push a higher being or believe system on anyone as in my life I haven't enjoyed it pushed on me, but I have to say that this has been a large part of my success and helping me turn certain things around in my life that need to be adjusted. Getting healthy and in shape is only the beginning of this journey, but it was the starting point that I needed to start at. Until next time....
