Celebrating the small Victories no matter what they are!

Tuesday, March 02, 2010

We are celebrating! After two years of a soft sell with potty training (doesn't always boil down to this?) and listening to our peditrician tell us not to push too hard, our four year old daughter took it upon herself to use her little potty and pooped in the potty last night. Then she came out to the living room to tell me that she pooped in the potty - "actual poop came out Mom!" So she had to show me and I told her we needed to wipe her tush and it was "Why? - I did it in the potty - See!" It is a small victory, but at least we are headed in the right direction.

Out of the mouths of babes - she informs Dad that Mom is shrinking and is no longer as soft and cuddly, and that he has a budda belly and she wants to rub it. I had to turn away to hide my mirth.

Signing her up for dance class has made a world of difference - she wants to be a big girl now. I am so proud of her.

That is a big victory, I had no problem with my daughter she potty trained herself at 15 months. My son with the one that was taking forever until I got him some big body underwear with his favorite cartoon character then he didn't want to get those dirty, that was how he decided it was time at age three.
Good for her, make it a celebration and give her a gold star. emoticon and some hugs emoticon too. Sandy
