I Am Back From Tennessee Vacation

Thursday, February 25, 2010

Well I am back from my vacation. I was so concerned with not staying on track with diet and exercise before I left and with good reason. It was an exercise in futility for me. I did really well the first few days and then we went to this little restaurant in Rock Island, Tennessee. They have the most incredible peach cobbler on earth. I did not leave there without having a small dish of it. You know when I put the first bite in my mouth it did not taste as I remembered. I remembered it's sweet delicacy of peachy taste but when it went in my mouth it did not taste like I remembered. I could not eat it. I felt bad because I could not resist ordering it and then I felt great because I did not eat it. There were a few other temptations for me and I did not get to workout on my routine. I walked all the time and that did help but I feel tired now where regular exercise made me feel so good. I laughed most of the time there with friends and family and that also helped very much. Compliments from friends and family at my weight loss since last they saw me at 266 pounds almost two years ago gave me incentive to come home and get back on track with my lifestyle and weight loss program with the help of SparkPeople. I also did not get to go online while there since wi-fi would would work in the hallway of our motel but not in my room. Decided I did not want to set in the hall to go online. Well I am home and getting back on track again to continue on my goals!!!

I know what you mean. I won't dream of that Peach Cobbler anymore either.

The same thing happened to me with a bag of Cheetos. At least I don't dream about them anymore. LOL
