Skiing at 65

OK, my sister & a few friends think I'm crazy! (And maybe I am!) But I actually had fun this past weekend. My hubby & I went to Okemo in Vermont with our oldest son & 3 grandchildren. Now, I've done cross-country skiing, but could count on the fingers of one hand the times I've been downhill. And that was years ago.
Boy, have things changed! No longer the long skis, but short stubby ones that are easier to control (sometimes). Our son had signed me up for a lesson, thankfully! If not for that, I might have spent my time in the lodge. My first time or two (before lesson), well, let's just say it's a good thing I bounce well!
We had fun, I got to spend time with the grandkids, and I got my exercise. What more could you ask?

    emoticon Your never too old to learn skiing. I'm 52 and my husband and I ski every weekend. I sometime go skiing by myself on the week days. We have season passes that allow us to ski both Sunapee and Okema. I love those two mountain, their great for skiers of all levels. My father- in-law skied until he was 8O but had to quit for health problems.
