It started with that dreadful warm water with lemon juice....eeek! Then on to a half cup of honeydew w/an egg white.....the clock is ticking and I'm feeling a bit hungry, but not so bad. So finally it's time for a snack....yummy...a banana and a cup of decaf herbal tea....what???? Decaf....Grace doesn't do decaf, but on detox, I do....ugh!
So I'm at my desk and I'm trying really hard to keep busy and the clock is ticking slowly but it's moving ssssllllloooooowwwwwllllllyyyy
y...IT'S LUNCHTIME!!!! Woohoo....now this is what I call clean eating, cup of vegetable juice, veggie burger (no bun), 1 c. cucumbers, baby carrots, 1 apple and another cup of herbal tea.....ahhhh the tummy is feeling full. It's funny, my buddy and detox partner BABUHROW had already done what her body needed to do early in the AM, but here I was at lunch and after and still nothing...I truly expected things would start moving but to no avail. I'm watching the clock as I'm working diligently and here you go...it's afternoon snack time, 1/2 c snap peas and another cup of herbal tea....okay by this time, I'm moving to the ladies room after peeing like there was no tomorrow, the other event has finally happened...Yippeee!
. It's amazing how doing a detox makes a person constantly think about food, if I could only get FOOD out of my mind, then I wouldn't be so prone to eating all the wrong things.
So finally, it is Dinner time....once again, yippee!
Veggie soup, mixed green salad w/shrooms, asparagus, tomato & beets, w/Walden's Creamy bacon dressing and a cup of cut up strawberries and blueberries, with guess what, another cup of herbal tea....uhhhh, the herbal tea is turning out to be my fluids for the day along with bottled water, so guess what I'll be doing while I'm trying to sleep tonight...
Well, to end the evening, I'm supposed to eat a mix of cucumbers, red & yellow peppers & herbal tea, but I skipped the veggies(I'm so full...guh) and just had the cup of the herbal tea.
I know...I know....I'm happy every time it's time to eat, but it's just the first day. I am trying to get rid of that habit, but I don't know if it is a habit, I just know that it has to be dealt with. Although, grabbing something healthy to munch on is a lot better than grabbing a processed and artificially preserved somethin' or other. But OMG, that processed and preserved somethin' or other is do dang good.
It's time to go nighty-night and to move on to the 2nd day of detox. Wish me luck!
