Foot Injury

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Good morning!

I am more than a little frustrated. You see, I have very high arches in my feet, requiring me to wear orthopedic inserts. I bought medium-heel boots last fall and have been wearing them most of the day ever since. Because I did not put my inserts in them, the balls of my feet got pushed forward incessantly. I stopped wearing them last weekend because they got really sore and swollen (just behind my middle toes on both feet). Because of this, I cannot walk using proper form. I don't want to aggravate an old back injury, so I have cut out my worning walk/jogs. I still do my P90X every morning before work, but am incredibly frustrated because I have to avoid my treadmill for a few more days. Putting my C25K program on hold was NOT part of the plan. But, alas, I will have to get back on track Monday with Week 6. I will, however, see if I can at least walk for a little while.

So far I am on point with my weight loss goals. As of last Sunday, I weigh 158. My goal was to hit 155 by vacation time February 26th, but I doubt I'll get there unless this foot pain disappears. Onward and downward!
