Well, I am back to working out and counting calories. I've had a shaky start this month since I ended up getting the flu around the fifth. I took about seven days off from working out to recover and relax a bit. Luckily my lack of appetite helped restart that weight loss for me, lol.
I got up to 135 pounds believe it or not. It surprised me a bit but eating a lot and being very inactive due to SAD symptoms will pack on pounds pretty quickly. Especially if you don't weigh yourself for a few months. But I took a few months off to work on my body image issues, so seeing the gain didn't upset me as much as it would have several months ago. Last time I weighed on the scale it said 132.4. I'm hoping to get back down to 127 by spring.
I've started running and am up to 20 minutes straight at 5.5 miles an hour. I try to take more than 10,000 steps a day and use my FitBit to keep track, however some days I am very sedentary. Today I had planned on a light activity day to recover from strength training a bit but I ended up being tired a lot and I slept more than I probably should have.
I'm counting calories again but I'm doing it on paper, in a little notebook. I plan to stick between 1600 and 1800 calories a day. I burn about 2500 calories on a very active day, 2300 on a normal work out day, and about 1800 on a very sendentary day. So I figure that's a good range for me. I much prefer keeping track of calories in my notebook right now as opposed to using the spark tracker. It's much faster than going through everything online, and it doesn't judge my nutrient ratios, lol.
I guess I'll keep updating on my progress. I'm hoping to not go through the crazy hunger and obsessivness I seem to go through whenever I try to lose weight. Hopefully the fitbit will be a great tool for keeping my calories in an appropriate range and not going too low.
