Taking some time off

I think I pulled a muscle the other day when I ran intervals for two miles. I've never run more than one mile (at least during the last six years or so) and ran two/walked two for a total of four miles the other day. Then did my SELF dvd which is basically circuit training the next day. Haven't let my legs have a break until today really. Tried to jog a little this afternoon and my lower calf/upper ankle kills me when I do.

So going back to just walking for now. Let it rest and heal, and then go back more gradually. No running or SELF dvd for a while. But it is warming up here (warm up here is a relative term I've learned) and walking outside is getting easier. With a new Wii game and some new running shoes on the way, I'm excited about spring being nearly here.

Can't wait to hit those hiking trails!

In the meantime, I'm good with just walking around.
