There are just some days......

I got up early, puttered around, met DH for our weekend breakfast. Walked around town to get in some steps. Got my hair done (color and trim). Picked up my mail, a chicken roti, and went home.

The roti was so good, I ate the whole thing, even though I was full about 2/3 of the way through. I do love roti. (This is a West Indian food, based on East Indian food - I think from Trinidad. Sort of a very thin tortilla type crust, except it has a layer of garbanzo meal inbetween two layers of crust. Curried potatoes and garbanzos. I had mine with boneless chicken. And some hot sauce. This is my absolute favorite West Indian food. YUM!)

DH wanted lunch, so we went out. I had iced coffee, and half a brownie. And suddenly, walking around the marina, I just felt overwhelmed. With tiredness. With food. Something. Just exhausted, and more full of food than I had felt in a long long time.

We headed home, I fell into bed, and dozed off and on through half the afternoon. I'm still full. I may have a little yogurt for dinner, I don't want much else.

And I could just go back to bed and sleep for the night. Sometimes my crazy hectic weeks catch up with me. I think that was today.

    The roti sounds good. I'll have to look for it in Indian restaurants up here.

    Sometimes you just need to have one of those days to remind yourself why you don't make a habit of it...

    I used to have that feeling then found out I had low iron. After taking iron supplements, my stamina has improved considerably. However, your body may just be shutting down somewhat from overwork. Hopefully, taking it easy for the weekend will do the trick.
