Since a snowstorm in the deep South is rare, we LOVE to take pics when one does visit our state. Our very steep driveway will keep us home at least till later this afternoon as we have no sand or salt to melt the ice.



This picture was taken in the thick of the storm. The children in our neighborhood loved it!



Good thing my son was with me when I took this pic. I was sliding down the driveway as I took this picture. LOL

At times like these I wish I still had my cross country skies. What a fun neighborhood it would be to ski today! emoticon

I can't believe my eyes. You got a lot of snow. I didn't get out to take pictures of our snow. Now it is melting and ugly. Your house is beautiful. I imagined Georgia all flat. I didn't think there would be any hills. We had temps in high 30's today, so the snow is slowly melting. We may be getting more snow early next week. Everything is getting better, I finally got hired as a teachers' aide and don't have to look for another job. Anyhow, it's late and I have to take my DD tomorrow morning to the Endodonist.

    I'm one of those people who only like snow once a year - Christmas Eve but, living in Iowa we get snow a heck of a lot more often then that. Be sure if you shovel to take the fitness points :)

    Dallas has record show fall. I have to admit it's pretty. I grew up in Amarillo where this is business as usual in the winter. But people down here just can't handle it. I am a 911 operator and I took so many stranded motorist calls and yes 3 hrs was not a long wait for the conditions! At one point our little town had over 50 stalled vehicles and the cops were getting stuck even with chains. Roads were shut down due to being impassable and people were going around the barricades and then yelling at me because no one could come get them. We were calling wreckers to come get wreckers! emoticon

    Your snow storm looks like the one we had in VA. We got a lot of snow and was out of work for 4 days.

    OMG, I have friends that live in Douglasville, sent them a e-mail yesterday but haven't heard back.
Enjoy your snow, it sure looks pretty and if you ever want more, I know where you can take a vacation in the winter.

    I looked out my window this morning and there was a car in the lake across the street. we called 911 and then went to investigate. Fortunately, there was no-one in the car. Good for them. It's been three hours and the police haven't shown up yet!
