Staying Inspired & Motivated On My Journey...

Friday, February 12, 2010

I just finished reading an awesome story from the Daily Spark. It was about a strong woman who has changed her life for the better. She did it for her daughter and now she's the active Mom who does things with her child. She is doing what I aspire to be doing more and more of!

In case you missed it, here's the link:

Besides doing this for myself, I want to be there for Emma. I want to be able to go on the moon bounce and not be afraid-remember "My Face Broke My Fall" blog last month? Now I admit that a few years back, I wouldn't have even attempted that. But I'm still not fit like I want to be. I was still feeling a little helpless to get my child out. I don't want to feel like that again!

I am so happy because I feel so positive and focused on my journey. This week I have exercised everyday. Yes, a lot of the days have involved shoveling exercise, but I am getting stronger with each dig. I have exercised at least 50 minutes each day with the exception of Monday where I did 20 minutes. But you know what? That's ok! Doing something is better than having done nothing! I am doing my best and that's what matters the most.

I have talked with a couple of Spark buddies about blogging. I want to look into becoming a professional blogger. My boss is the one who originally suggested I should do that about a month ago. Then after thinking it over and talking about it, it's really something I want to pursue! I want to do so much with my life. I don't want to be held back by my weight. I WANT THIS! I will continue to Shoot For The Moon and Reach For The Stars. emoticon

I want to be the emoticon Simone, mother, wife, daughter, cousin, niece, and friend that I can be. And I am able to do that with God and the help of my DEAR DEAR Spark family emoticon! Thank you SO much for your support & encouragement. Without it, I definitely would not be able to stay inspired & motivated on my journey!

WE CAN DO THIS AS LONG AS WE STICK TOGETHER! emoticon emoticon

Simone your enthusiasm is infectious! What a gift! I agree with what so many others have said that many people would be blessed by your words. A big congratulations on the exercise this week! I know how good it is when you can feel yourself growing stronger! That is a HUGE accomplishment! Go girl, the sky is the limit!

emoticon Simone, you can do anything you put your mind to. Emma is a lucky little girl to have you for a mommy. If you decide to take the plunge and become a professional blogger I know that many people will be blessed by your writing. You are so upbeat and dedicated to helping other people that you're blog would surely make it into the top ten. Now quit talking about it and DO IT! emoticon

One of my favorite quotes ever is, "Go on family vacations even if you can't afford it. The memories will last you a lifetime." I think it applies to spending precious time with our families, not just vacations. The fact that you have that strong desire to be an involved, active paticipant in Em's life (rather than just an observer) is exactly what makes it so do-able for you! The WANT is so great, I believe you will make it happen! You've come such a long way and you are one of the most determined women I have ever met!! With all that on your side, you can't fail.

I can't say I know what a professional blogger is, but i assume it's someone who does it regularly and has devoted readers...is it a paying job? In the words of Rudolph talking to Herbie the Dentist, "Whatever it is, I know you'll be a great one"!!!!

You would be wonderful at it! I know many professional bloggers that started just writing (or talking) about an issue they were passionate about and now they have blossomed into full fledged businesses. I still don't quite get it, but you can do it!

Simone, you are awesome! I wish I had SparkPeople when my kids were still young. I missed out on so much with them. At least I am doing something now and have recently gone to several events with my DD that I was no longer doing because I couldn't fit into the seats at the venue.

What exactly is a 'professional' blogger? I mean, what makes it professional?

Have a great day!
