So this morning I go to start my car. Dead battery.
I ask DH to come out and try jump starting. No deal. It's still dead. Now I have a SUV and he has a sedan.
He takes DD to school while I call road side assistant. Before even hearing what I need they ask where I live. I tell them.
"Oh, I'm sorry ma'am but we are currently not servicing your area due to the extreme weather conditions."
I'm thinking what extreme weather conditions besides the darn cold wind outside. I mean, yes there is snow from this weekend and yes, there was another foot added yesterday but my road is pretty clear.
She says, "We are evaluating every 2 hrs so you could call back then."
I hang up and I go online as I had been instructed while I was holding for road side assistance. I submit my request and it is not denied. But I do notice that the estimated time is listed as 00180. Now I am assuming this means 180 minutes/3hrs. Ok. Not too thrilled but at least it doesn't tell me they aren't servicing my area.
So when DH gets home from taking DD to school I say, let's try again now that car has warmed up. NOPE. "Don't even think about it", my car says.
Did I mention it's BUTT COLD outside???? The wind is going millions of miles per hour and is ice cold. I don't care if the car says it's 34, it feels like 10!!!!
So we decide we will go to the auto place and see how much it would be for my battery. As I'm walking around to get in DH's car, my cell phone rings. "Hello, ma'am? This is road side assistance. I'll be there in just a moment."
I was so happy to see the man pull up!
He was the same guy who came last Monday when my car didn't start. He used the little gizmo machine and my baby started right up with a purr!
DH & I went to auto store and I purchased a new battery.
They installed it for free!
I made it to work and was done with the early morning drama!
Now just need to go to my Mom's after work and have more fun shoveling some snow
I CAN DO THIS...I think I can I think I can...can you tell I'm trying to convince myself???
