Wow. I am so excited to report my progress.
I recently joined Anytime Fitness where I have been working out 3x or more a week. It has been so nice to actually have a gym to go to during these cold days. I live in an attic apartment where I do work out videos. Every single time that I am really getting into the groove, the downstairs neighbors pound on the ceiling! They are not the best neighbors to have... to say the least.
Anyway, I started "running" sometime around October. I was barely able to make it 1/4 of the way around the Monona Bay which is 3+ miles long. I was really nervous once it started to snow because I knew this meant no more outdoor running. I ran on my parent's treadmill when I went home through November & December. I also did my work out videos on a non-consistent basis... I have only been a member at Anytime for a month now, but I can see such a huge change in my agility.
Down to business- This past Sunday night, I was so bored with being indoors, so I decided to take a walk/ run outside, which I haven't done since the first snowfall! I started off my normal route around the Monona Bay. I figured that I would run a little bit & stop when I had to & then go back home. Well, I never stopped running! I never even felt the need to. I ran the entire 3+ miles of the Monona Bay. It had been so intimidating to me a mere 3 months ago! Once I got home, I could not stop smiling. I was so happy to see how far I had come! I am finally a runner & I know that I will reach my healthy weight loss goal! I'm excited for the Crazy Legs 8K in April.
Can't wait to see what this year has in store for me!
I also already broke my promise of posting one blog a week. I'm getting back into that groove too. One blog every week.... I promise??? :)
