Anger and PopTarts (maybe it's PMS)

Tuesday, February 09, 2010

So I did the thing about telling my family about my goals when I started with great responses from the kids. I cleaned the pantry of the "bad stuff". I filled the house with easy, healthy food. I said to my housemate, "You are getting fatter and so am I and I need you "on board" for me to succeed. Please don't bring unhealthy food into my house!"

The past few weeks, the kids and everyone loved the healthy food and the fact that I'm cooking so much. They don't even notice that I'm cooking healthy because it tastes so good.

For Superbowl I found healthy versions of almost everything with huge success. Go Saints!!!

This morning I went to the kitchen to find a JUMBO box of pop-tarts. So I crushed them to crumbs and poured water on them to destroy them. It was kinda crazy, but I have switched the kids to the fiber one pop-tarts (Friday is poptart day). My 6 year old said "Mom, I like healthy Poptarts".

To have the "bad" ones in the house felt like I was being undermined by the housemate.

I cleaned out the pantry and the freezer when I started spark, but I can't tell you how good it felt destroying those pop-tarts. A little crazy maybe, but boy it felt good to get my anger out on the pop-tarts.

PS No one was watching ...
PSS Except the Lord was watching, and I bet He chuckled a little

It must be in the air. My Dad brought in strawberry frosted pop tarts the other day. emoticon

I don't think he understands the words that are coming out of my mouth. Maybe it's his sugar delirium from the bag of reese's peanut butter cups he just ate. Doesn't it just want to make you yell....

    Great job on destroying it!
