Since the beginning of November I have been watching what I eat, exercise when I can, and making sure I eat according to the food pyramid. I am very close to having lost 30 pounds, and was thinking that I was doing great, until yesterday.

Yesterday I went to my niece's birthday party and say my sister for the first time since New Years. In the beginning of December she started to watch what she eats and has lost 68 pounds since then and looks great!!!!! You could start to tell around New Years that she was losing weight, but now she looks wonderful! Here I sit having only lost 28 pounds and still feel and look fat! :(( I am happy that she looks great, but now I just feel like I must not be doing a good job at changing my lifestyle. I just feel so depressed now!

I know that I cannot give up, and just hope that venting my feelings will help me to get over these feelings.

    I agree with Halosun...28 lbs is amazing!!! Do not let yourself be discouraged at all...you are doing awesome!!

Slow and steady will win this weight loss race...you want this to be a life change not a fast change that will all come back!!

Keep it up...you are doing awesome...and you will see the major change soon...we all will!!!

    Excuse me... but "only 28 lbs" is AMAZING! Your sister must be some freak of nature to have lost 68 lbs in two months. 28 lbs for three months is absolutely incredible! That's a little over two lbs a week, which is a healthy weight loss. Do not feel discouraged - this isn't a race and the only person's progress that matters is yours. Keep up the incredible work!
