What are you willing to do?

Monday, February 08, 2010

How far are you willing to go on this journey? How big is your want? What are you willing to do to achieve your goals?

This journey is a long one filled with many curves and bumps in the road. There is no map to follow so you cannot gage far in advance what you may encounter. But we have guides like Sparkpeople emoticon, our nutrion tracker, lots of water emoticon. We may have to make some pit stops emoticon emoticon along the way but they make us stronger to face the road ahead. Our exercising helps strengthen us on this journey. emoticon One of the most important things we have is our Spark family so we can support and encourage each other along the way. emoticon Then our journey is never dull and we have a new way to look at those bumps along the way.

So embrace this journey and make the most of it. PUSH yourself a little more and push your Spark friends a little bit harder. Try something new and out of the ordinary. Give your Spark friends a emoticon in the pants when you KNOW they need the extra push. We all want to succeed! So let's all do this together so we can reach our goals emoticon So pack your emoticon and get ready to EMBRACE YOUR JOURNEY!

You are right, SIMONE - at the beginning of the weight loss process - it seems overwhelming and like such a monumental task that you don't even think you can muster up the energy or desire to go down the long road ahead but know that if you do...your destination is there - waiting for you and you will be soooo happy you made the effort once you get there will never know if you don't dedicate yourself to the effort in the first place.
Great Blog - thanks for the inspiring blog!

emoticon You are one kicking butt mama!
I'm going to workout today. I have a new challenge that I'm going to email you about in a little while.
I'm eating healthy and feeling really good about all my choices. But the one thing that I'm really excited about is my frame of mind. I'm no longer looking for perfection. I no longer get discouraged when the scale doesn't do what I want. I'm no longer trying to take the weight off fast.
I'm focusing on short term, small goals instead of looking at the big picture.
One day at a time, one pound at a time, one success and one stumble at a time.
It's all part of this wonderful journey of mine to a healthy body, mind and spirit.

I hope you have a fantastic day! emoticon
