YOU CAN'T LOSE WEIGHT AND KEEP IT OFF WITHOUT CHANGING YOURSELF!
I am starting a 10 day self-imposed challenge today and inviting others to join in. Starting today, I will track my nutrition every day and meet my calorie goals. I will eliminate sugar from my diet as well as artificially sweetened foods and I will eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Kicking the sweets for 10 days is part of the Sonoma Diet where you get your body used to not eating them. You are not supposed to eat fruit either because of the sugar but oh, well.
I am looking forward to doing this. I love to cook and have enjoyed finding recipes on this site. They are so good! And one of my goals this year is to cook 5 out of 7 meals a week and I have been meeting this goal for the most part. I don't have any eating occasions planned for the next 10 days so that is a good thing. And if something turns up, I am going to look over the menu and choose wisely.
I am thrilled to be feeling better and gung ho about this challenge. I also joined the Heart healthy walk challenge found on Spark Team Sparkle N Shine 2010. USA TODAY has a weight loss challenge that they started the first of the year. On that site, you can find walking guidelines for beginner, intermediate, on up. It gives you a daily guide on how many minutes to walk for those who need help.
So, no excuses for me. I weighed today and was at 185 so I've maintained a 2 pound loss since the first of the year. That is a good thing. Can't wait for the scale to move further south. Until tomorrow.
