2 Year Smoking Quit (Saturday 6th Feb 2010)!

Monday, February 08, 2010

All I can say is "Who'd a thunk it?"!!

I feel so much better - I no longer smell like an ashtray, I can walk up 3 flights of stairs to work without collapsing in a heap, I don't feel worried about my health or guilty all the time, there are no longer mysterious burn holes in my clothes, I no longer get horrible coughs and lingering colds, I have saved a small fortune, my cat won't get emphysema, I have more energy (most of the time), I'm sure I'll have fewer wrinkles as I age (wishful thinking there!), my car doesn't stink, I can take a flight without suffering serious withdrawal symptoms.... the list is endless!

Today's stats (Monday 8th Feb):-

2years 2days 08 hours 31 mins smoke-free
10,997 cigs not smoked
4,096.38 saved
1month 1week 1day 04 hours 25 mins of my life saved

Having never been there and given up smoking (I never started in the first place) I take my hat off to you. Congratulations! DH is an ex-smoker and still finds it hard after 10 years quit.
