So today is the 5th of February and day 5 of the challenge. As you may know by now, the 1st part of the challenge is for me to do 50 minutes of exercise a day for the month of February. The 2nd part challenge is to1 )post some special way that you loved yourself on that day OR 2) post something positive and "loving" about yourself. So in today's blog I will post about that as well!
Last night, more like early this morning, I was up late Sparking. I didn't end up going to bed until after 1a.m. That would have been fine if I didn't need to be up at 5am. I totally overslept. I was carpooling with a friend due to the impending snow. Fortunately, her texting woke me up. I got ready in 10 minutes flat and we were on our way. Wow, talk about being unprepared! I had grabbed a banana and that was all. I thought we were going to leave work by 10 so I hadn't made many preparations. I did have 2 packets of instant apples & cinnamon oatmeal but by the time I left around 11 it was LONG gone!
After picking up Emma from pre-school-they got out later-I went home. While Emma slept, I got in about 20 minutes of exercise in the house. About an hour later I fell asleep and I don't even know how long I was out. Just before 7pm, I went outside and decided to do Phase I of shoveling.
We are supposed to get between 20-28 inches of snow and a couple of inches an hour over night. The media is calling it Super Storm 2010 and using words like blizzard. So I went out and did another 40 minutes of shoveling around mine & DH's car. I cleared off the cars too. DH came out a bit later and started shoveling a bigger area around the cars. I went inside after doing some of the apartment steps. So today I did 60 minutes of exercise!
This is not a real flattering picture but you can definitely tell I got some good exercise in! Cheeks are slightly pink.
I did talk with God while I was outside shoveling this evening. I also found myself doing it at other times of the day. I rely on Him a lot during the day.
I got in my 3 f/v today. Last night I did not ever get in the last of my servings. But every day is learning experience!
I am still working on my water. I've had 50oz + of water. Will have more before I get to sleep.
I feel good. I have weigh in tomorrow morning. I know that there is a chance I may not see a loss on the scale. And that's okay! I know that I have exercised a minimum of 50 minutes every day this month and I exercised every day this week. On Sunday I did 30 minutes of exercise. So I have already gained something this week. Strength and increasing belief in myself. I have learned more by reading my Spark friends' blogs. I know that I am not perfect and I am still learning about myself and I am still growing as a person. I know that while I am not anywhere near my goal weight, this week I am already a winner because of what I have accomplished and I am getting closer to my goals in a whole new way!
I am PROUD of me.
I will continue to Shoot For The Moon and Reach For The Stars.
And I will continue to encourage others on their journey to do the same!
