Started Pilates

Finished first week of pilates. They have me on doing something called "active core training." Hurt in places I didn't know I had muscles. After three sessions, I could do the beginning form of the basic lifts without the support sling. Also started working my arms, so I'm really psyched. I'll need that upper body strength to go sailing. emoticon

    Pilates is fantastic. I'd been thinking I should try it for years, but hadn't because of the cost... I have a weak core and like you apparently had muscles in places that I didn't know I had muscles.

I've been doing a private class on the reformer with a friend for about 3 months - still expensive, but wow, does it ever make a difference!

    Our gym is offering Pilates now. I wanted to join but its at 5:45 AM. My core needs work. Thanks for the good report. I will give it a try.
