Skiing Experience on the Alps

Friday, February 05, 2010

I've been thinking of all of you as I went skiing yesterday for the whole day - and the day before for six hours.
I noticed how I 've been improving my style.
I was hesitating at first as I hadn't gone skiing for a long time - but in the end I was carving as if I had been born with my skis on.
Wonderful experience, why had I stopped skiing - I wonder why that happened?
Out of fear of not being able to improve, pride, laziness???
I don't care now, I've changed my attitude, thanks SP !!!!!!!!!
I like all kind of sports as they allow me to move in fresh air and experience nature.
And I just didn't care if I felt awkward in my skiing clothes, actualy I was almost the only woman on track!!!!

I haven't been skiing in years! Where in the Alps did you ski? My Father is from a small town called Clusone, near Bergamo. It is beautiful there. emoticon emoticon

So happy you had a great time skiing - it is like riding a bike - you never forget - that first run down brings it all back! Love to ski - have not skied this year, but hope to this week. Nothing like taking on a mountain and carving some powder to boost your confidence! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Glad you had such a great time!!!

I think that there is nothing more freeing than being out doors and sort of being one with the elelemnts. While I have never gone skiing it looks challenging and exhilarating all at once.

It's also good to get away from our normal existence every bow and then and just have fun. I think we dont do that enough. Hope you have a good weekend.
