Hump Day Recap

Another 50 minutes completed today. I broke it up into 25 & 25 today. I was off today so I had a bit more time to devote to my workout. Actually thought about taking a walk/jog tonight but worried that there was too much melted snow/slush. No point in injuring myself in the dark. I went to the library instead and found some books.

My f/v...lacking a bit. I had a banana this a.m. and that's been it. I will probably have another before bed. Just not too hungry tonight. Made some eggs & turkey bacon for DH & DD. I was going to cook some spinach as well but became side tracked. Guess I will make it tomorrow.

Talking with God? Something I should've done more of. This is definitely a work in progress. But I will do this one step at a time!

Now I'm going to go unwind, pick out a good book and lose myself for a while!

    You know a tasty way to get your fruits and veggies in is to drink smoothies. Just take a banana, 1/2 cup of mango (frozen ones work great) a big handful of fresh spinach. Throw all into a blender with a little water and blend away. You just made a green smoothie but you can't even taste the spinach. I bet Emma would even like it, most kids do and they think the green color is cool. emoticon

    Great job on getting in your workout. I need some of your motivation. I struggle with fruits and veggies too. I'm trying to make them my snacks for the day.

    OK, so working on f/v is still a goal. It will probably always be one from time to time...but that's what goals are all about! Keep striving for that good nutrition to balance all those cals you're burning with your 50 min workouts! You'll get there......

I'm finding myself actually craving fruits and veggies these days. The problem is I run out of them too fast and then I go a bit crazy.
You'll get to your F/V goal. One step at a time...
I'll be having my time with God as soon as I finish up with my nutrition tracker. Its been hard to find any alone time with Tim home and the phone ringing off the hook with house buying stuff. emoticon
I hope you enjoy your book...

    Try the low sodium V8. I did it today - 2 servings of vegetables, about100 calories (tops) and not tooooooo much sodium. At least it's a cheat that might help!

    I am not too great with the fruit. I keep cups of applesauce and frozen strawberries on hand. To get veggies I drink low-sodium V8 and I keep bags of salad greens on hand.

    Good for you...I have a hard time to eat my fruits and veggies... I am still working on it, just like you!
Dont you just love a good book? I love reading. I need to go get a library card...It gets pretty spending buying them all the time, then again I try to go to used books stores or like goodwill, they are usually pretty cheap...

ps. the resistance band i got at target works great!!! It was actually$2.50 but its in the "dollar" section.

    Great job on the workout! However...I'm going to kick your booty on nutrition! EAT! You must eat! I am also trying to work on the talking more to God part. I really think is has a lot to do with our success! By the way...my Email is working....YEAH!!!!!
