I love salad. I have always loved salad. If you gave me a choice of a hamburger and fries or a nice green salad with carrots, celery and other veggies, I would about 98% of the time take the salad. Which is good. I'm glad I have always loved my veggies and my fruits too.. which also makes me wonder if, I loved them so much how did I get to be so heavy.. but that is besides the point at the moment! LOL! This is the one instance in where my healthy eating got me into trouble. Saturday night there was a Mardi Gras party at my church. We had all kinds of food and I admit I went a little over board on the bread and I had a few to many cookies, but I didn't stuff my face and I in fact, had 2 large helpings of salad. Because as you all know... I love salad. Well being healthy was my downfall. Saturday night/early sunday morning I was so sick. I just figured it was my body's way of being mad at me for eating more then I usually would and well, those cookies. However when my mom called me after church I found out I wasn't the only one who was sick. We figured out that it was either the salad or the dressing that caused us all to be sick and us healthy ones who love salad.. got the brunt of it!! Who would have thought that eating healthy to be healthy would make one so sick! Now I am a bit hesitant on having lettuce.. although I did have a bit on my plain sub today, so maybe I am risking it, but maybe not. I still love my salads and lettuce, but maybe not as much as I did. I think from now on I'll stick with carrots and celery sticks at parties!
