Any Advice

Hi Everyone,

I am REALLY struggling with tracking my foods. I just can't seem to find a routine that works for me. I don't have access to the Internet at work like I use to in my previous job so I find myself missing a LOT of calories that I eat because I can't remember when I go to input them into the computer. It's frustrating because I know that makes a huge impact on my goal for weight loss. Do you guys have any suggestions that might help me get on track??? I would appreciate your tips on how you all do it!

    I write everything in a notebook, maybe you could find a small one that would fit in your purse or pocket. I also plan my entire day at the beginning of the day. When you plan the whole day you are more likely to stick with it. Another web site that can help with retaining nutrition information is it is really helpful. Having and together has been great.

    Thanks guys for all the great suggestions!!! I am definitely going to try to eat my numbers the day before and keep a journal at my desk that I can write my foods in!! I really appreciate all our tips and I am SO glad to have you all as a support system!!! emoticon

    I also try to plan the day before what I will be eating the next day..I keep a journal each day in addition to online tracking..that way I can write things down so I don't forget what I had eaten earlier in the day..seems silly but if I don't write what I eat early in day I often cant remember come evening. I don't always like to take the time to journal but it is CRITICAL for successful weightloss...GOOD LUCK!!! emoticon

    I'm lucky i have access to spark people all day. but when i do eat when i'm not near my computer as crazy as it sounds I'll stick a wrapper in my pocket to track it later or i'll ask who ever i'm with to remind me later about what i ate. but i try to eat before i go out or when i get home and if i know i'll get hungry in the mean time i take a snack with me that way i'm only eating what i know. emoticon

    I also have trouble with eating at night. I do counted crossstich so that helps me when I can make my self get into it. goodluck, Annalj.

    I try to enter my food the night before, that way I know what my numbers look like and what I will be eating for the day. Hope this helps. Good luck.

    Write down what you eat. It is better than not writing it down and forgetting it by the time you get home. I always track what I eat in a journal (paper)--not always on line as I don't like to use the pc as much as I have been (with school and all).
