Haven't blogged in awhile. I can't seem to find anything interesting to say. The weight loss is a bit stalled-no gains, just no losses. Sad for no reason. Bored with life.
You have lots of good comments here. We all get in a funk sometimes and it sure never feels good does it?
Exercise always boosts my spirits. The harder I can do it, the better. Otherwise I have a close friend that can usually get me to laugh about something and laughing sure is good medicine. In fact, I took a Laughter Yoga class once. It is all about using laughter to relieve stress and pain and get healthy. You start out fake laughing, but before you know it you are laughing for real. It was quite an experience and I'll never forget it.
Another thing I just discovered this year, is that low levels of vitamin D can contribute to the blues. That is why we all perk up when the sun is shining. You may need some extra vitamin D in your diet in the winter time to make up for the lack of sunshine.
if you are sad for no good reason- thats ok. It just feels gross. Acknowledge what you are feeling and give yourself permission to hibernate a bit. How can we all stay "up" all the time for our families & friends and bandsters? You have been a huge support here , sparking for others, encouraging everyone on- so take some good energy for yourself today. I appreciate you and hope you feel better soon. ( I always feel less blue if I volunteer in helping others somehow.) Take care of yourself for us! Chacogirl
I can relate... maybe it's just the 'post christmas winter time blues'... The weather has been so dreary!
No gains is great! Next best thing to losing!!!
I agree with finding something you usually like that is active and get moving... dance, walk Precious, and I am a huge believer in counting blessings... five a day! And remember - every day above ground is a good day!
I get like that from time to time. Just try to hang in there and look for the positives. Sometimes it helps me to just remind myself of all the many blessings in my life. I like what Sam said also - looking for something fun to do to lift your spirits. If nothing seems to work, you may consider talking to your doctor. He/she may be able to help figure out what is really causing you to be sad and offer you some help.
I know what you mean about sometimes being sad for no apparent reason. Hopefully it's just he winter blues. I know I feel better today because the sun is brightly shining. It hasn't done that in quite awhile here.
Try to think of something fun to do. Go to a movie, the zoo, bowling, go to lunch with a friend, anything to get you out and about. Or repot your plants, do a craft project, take a bubble bath while reading an uplifting book. These are all things that make me feel better.
