I know you all thought I was backing up with this wide load butt, but nope.

This is what I heard all night last night. So I didn't get much sleep AGAIN. What was it? The battery just went in the smoke alarm. Our bedroom is on the first floor and the kids is on the second floor and I was guessing it was coming from upstairs. I thought well they have their music on so they might not hear it. But I sure did. I must be the lightest sleeper ever.

My husband (An electrician) wouldn't even get up to take the battery out after I woke him about it.

So I have been up since 2 listening to beep.....beep........beep.....

Mine has been doing that since i moved in this house 2 years ago! LOL. I know i should change it but we have 3 others that are fine, plus it's in the basement so it doesn't realy bother me too much at night. You should try those soothing sounds CDs. My kids have been listening to the same Celtic Music CD for the past 2 years at bedtime, so i CAN'T hear anything besides whatever song is on repeat at the time, lol. You turn it off & they wake-up in a heart beat. It's funny, i'v learned to sleep through it all. Whatever i can't sleep through on my own, my sleep-aid takes care of the rest for me. emoticon

Mine did that not too long ago. But I ignored it for a couple days. But the dog didn't! She was running around my house like a little scaredy cat. She sure was happy when I finally changed the battery.

Mine did that about a week ago...and it was like 3am. I had to get up and figure out what was beeping. So, I'm half asleep on a chair in my halway taking the battery out. I was so tired I just left it out. I fixed it the following morning :) To Funny! I would have had my DH do it but he's not home :(

Oh hun!! Not getting to sleep as you expected stinks... the entire next day you just feel 'off'. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. And I totally get the husband thing. I thought I heard something in the living room last night, woke up my husband, he didn't immediately hear the noise so he went back to sleep!

LOL I thought you were backing up but I didn't think you were a wide load. LOL. One night our spoke alarm kept going off and Donald got up and knocked it right off the ceiling. It is still dangling there and I hope we don't have a fire.

some things really wake me up, where others just don't matter to me. Depending on whether I really wanted to sleep or not I would've had gotten up, taken the alarm off the wall, nicely opened the front door, and slung it across the front yard... emoticon

Hope you have a better night tonight.

I would have busted the smoke alarm around 2:35. My cat woke me up at some point, didn't look at the clock, but finally let me go back to sleep.
