Today I'm feeling kind of depressed. I had good and bad news this week from my doctors. The good news is that my total cholesterol dropped to 193 and my LDL dropped to 108. Then the bad news: I have degenerative disc disease with arthritis.

I'm trying to be positive especially after reading Shelly's report of her eye problems. I have no reason to be depressed. I need to get my focus on God and off of me. This pain is nothing compared to what Jesus went through when He died for us. I do believe He is in control. It's easier to believe when things are going well.

Good news about your cholesterol! Not so good news about the other. You're right about what Jesus went through for us. We have to hold on to the knowledge that he healed ALL MANNER of sickness and disease. Don't let the doctor's report freak you out. Yes, you should be concerened and follow the Dr.'s instructions but more importantly, listen for the still, small voice of the holy spirit to guide and direct you during this trial. I was looking up some different articles about healing and I'll send them via email to you. You are in my prayers...I will also pray for your heart and mind to be at peace and know that your life is in the hands of a loving Father. Remember this: degenerative disc disease with arthritis is the name of a disease. The name of Jesus is higher.
