Annoyed!

Thursday, January 28, 2010

So I ahve been working out like crazy and eating pretty decently. I know it hasn't been long and that I wasn't doing the greatest for a while there but sinse this past Sunday I ahve gone to the gym everyday and spent a min. of 30-45 minutes on the elliptical, plus I have been riding my bike and doing strength training. Today I weighed myself and I gained weight! WTF?!?!?!?!?! So completely discouraging.

What does "eating pretty decently" mean??? Have you logged all of the foods that you are eating to see how many calories, sodium, etc you are eating? Or are you just thinking that you are eating in your calorie range? Sometimes I think I am eating pretty good and it turns out I am eating a lot more than I think I am.

There's a blog or article from a pro somewhere on Sparks that SAYS it's very common to gain at first. Can't remember the reason (long day of classes--just finished up 6 hr pastry class!), but it's totally normal.....keep at it & eventually you'll begin to see the loss. emoticon

Don't get discouraged, I know it's hard, just take it one day at a time.
I am not exercising because of the pain I'm in, I almost quit but I didn't and I'm happy that I stayed. It's not just nutrition & fitness, there's lots more than that. Please just give it some time.

I know it's discouraging, but keep going. Watch your sodium intake - that usually causes me to gain some water weight. Keep making healthy choices & exercising, you'll start to lose, I promise!
