A new year with spark

It's been about a month since my last entry. I'm starting to log more cardio time a week, but I still haven't started any strenghth training. I had surgery (not related to my joints) on the 15th so I've been taking it kind of easy. I'm making small changes as I go so I don't just get burned out (or injured) and fail. I switched to more fruits and veggies and cut out all eating after dinner. I'm also being mindful of everything else I eat and the portion sizes. So far I've only lost 2 lbs. I'm just going to keep logging more cardio time and soon start my weights. I'm not going to worry about how fast I am losing weight and get discouraged. On Feb. 4 I go back to my surgeon and get the results of my colonoscopy and to see how I am healing from my surgical procedure. I have my fingers crossed on that one. I'm trying to remain upbeat and positive. This is really not the worst part of my life right now anyway dang it! It's my stinking job and the whole situation there that is digging at me the most. This is a cake walk in compairison. It will be fun to read this next month and see what new developments have taken place. Until then.....
