Snow...snow...and more SNOW!!

My neighbors and I spent about two and a half hours this morning clearing each other's steps, digging out our cars and clearing our drives after a three day blizzard. My shoulders and biceps are really sore! emoticon I will count the snow shovelling as cardio, but there's no place to count it as strength. (or at least I can't find any place). Boy, I'll tell ya...all that snow is really heavy lifting!! I usually love winter, but I'm not too fussed about it today!! emoticon

    Boy do I understand! My body aches all over from the snow covered slush that we received all weekend - it went from freezing rain to slush for two days with about 4 inches of snow on top of that when I got up this morning. Shoveling was pretty tricky, trying to keep from slipping on the bottom layer of solid ice. I did go down once and was so grateful no one was watching because I know I didn't do it very gracefully.

    I haven't found any way to track shoveling as strength either, but I think it should be there somewhere. I know my upper muscles work harder that when using 3-5 pound weights.

    I have to admit though that it is beautiful to see everything covered in this frosty snow - especially the trees!
