Sabotage!

Monday, January 25, 2010

I have been experiencing some sabotage from friends recently regarding my healthy eating.
It's like how many times do i have to tell you! I dont want to eat that crap jeezz..

Is it because they're scared that i will look good when im done and they wont get the attention? Why do the ones you love do this? It seems a bit sad to me that friends do this to each other to make themselves feel better.

emoticon till nexttime :)

thank you ladies your are a great help emoticon

I think it is now more likely a case of 'catty girl' syndrome as today as i had my wholegrain toast with lite tuna and weight watchers jelly, my friend sat beside me with her giant cookie and bottle of coke and big bowl of creamy pasta, and proceeds to tell me she eats it because she can - may not need to be taken like i took it (someone might see it differently to me :P).

Oh i dont know sparkpeoples! people act so strangly when it comes to weight loss! maybe she thinks im going to make her go on a diet or something i dunno..

What I have found, when you kindly decline over and over...and I use to bring my own food to people's houses...they get use to it if they are really your friends and they stop sabotaging you when they know you are serious and they can't make you cave!!!! It takes a little while, but stay strong in your convictions and just act like what they do doesn't bother you. Be the bigger, positive, more mature person and just stay focused...Then something happens when they start eating healthy and asking your advice...it will happen. IF THEY REALLY ARE YOUR FRIENDS!!! If they are negative, jealous, insecure people that feel better by bringing you down, then it's time to back away from those toxic relationships. You want to surround yourself ith people who build you up, not tear you down.

Enjoy your journey and the look on their faces when you reach your goal!!! LOL

It could be that they're just offering to be kind, figuring if they don't offer, you'll get offended?

Sometimes those around us are in a type of catch-22 situation. They're afraid to treat us like we have a weight problem because that would hurt our feelings so they treat us like everyone else, but then THAT hurts our feelings.

Just another way of possibly looking at it :)
