Rolling with the punches...

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

And they just keep coming!

I picked up my grandson on the 8th. I did not "remember" how exhausting it is to take care of an 11 month old! Ok maybe I had more energy 20 yrs ago... Oh geez... do I have to admit that?! OK OK I did! But it was a GOOD tired. Teresa and Adam came on Sunday afternoon for a visit. So it was good. The three of us enjoyed Monday and then WHAM!
We all got the flu. I took care of all three of them while sick, as I was OK until Wednesday.
Then I was down for the count until Sunday.

I developed an eye infection, my blood pressure is up and down like a yo yo! Doc is sending me to a cardiologist. My car keeps breaking down... its back to the dealer for the 3rd time in a month, 2nd time within a week... No one has called ME yet for an interview...YES I want to work. The last job I had I only missed 2 days of being sick and that was within my last two months of being there... people called in sick all the time - I kept my thoughts to myself, but some of them HAVE NO CLUE what sick is... Ok I know we each have our own tolerance of what sick is.. IM sorry!

At any rate - I will continue to roll with the punches here. I will NOT give in and I wont give up! I will continue to fight this fight for health! There is a pot of gold with my name on it somewhere and I am going to find it! Because inside there is a wealth of healthy with my name ON it.

Stay positive. Don't let yourself dwell on things you cannot control. Let go of the animosity to the "other" people that called in sick. Focus on things you can control. Like making sure you get enough sleep and that you have time for 30 minutes of exercise a day. Focus on eating nutritious foods, not just fillers.

Focus on taking care of that little man.

Things will turn around if you take care of the things you are meant to take care of.

You are so right on with your attitude. A person who is negative is no fun to be around. Hang tough. Better times will soon be here for you. -- Lou
