The notorious week two.

Tonight is Biggest Loser and so for me, this is the day I choose to weigh myself. My program is simple: I have Body Media's Gowear strapped to my arm measuring my calorie burn and I use SparkPeople to track every single thing that goes into my mouth. I'm working for a 1,000 caloroie deficit each day which basically means I have to get in at least one hour of activity a day and keep my intake around 1500. For my first week I lost 3.4 pounds using this formula, for my second a BIG FAT ZERO.

Needless to say I'm disappointed. I went back and did the math which showed a 7,423 calororie difference which should have yielded a 2+ pound loss. I'm sure there's a positivie explanation: I'm building muscle, my body's trying to figure out what I'm doing, blah, blah, blah, but I just wanted to see something at the scale. sigh. Now I feel like I have to re-set all my goals and expectations, as I was really planning on a sure 1-2 pound loss per week and this sets me back.

I'll keep going, but still . . .

    Watch your carbs, they soak in water like a sponge. And what's your water intake looking like. That may help ya out as well. You can do it!
