Groups E-Mail Overdose

Saturday, January 16, 2010

Wow, like I do not have a life outside of Spark People or something, I've been getting way too much e-mail via some of the groups here. I've had to delete these groups, cause they have about 3-4 leaders in the group & they all email you daily & that adds up. I'm trying to cut down on the amount of e-mails that I get & this doesn't help matters.

What is next? Shall I go on this new way of life by myself & delete my membership here totally? I hope not, however if that is what has to happen for me to have my sanity then so be it.

Oh, thanks so much.......!! I do not like to have to manually delete messages all the time.......As is is way too time consuming.

The next time you get one from a group you do not want to receive one from, there should be a link where you click to remove yourself from the mailing list. Hope this helps. Sandy

Thanks, I will see if I can make some kind of adjustments in the way that I receive mail via the groups. I'd rather visit on my own, then to get emails that prompt me. I've left some of the major contributers to this sort of thing already.

I have various sites, bookmarked & this is one of them. For me it is ideal to visit on my timing rather then someone elses.

I just wish they'd write a wkly newsletter & be done with it on a wkly basis & just one assigned leader to do this, 'cause otherwise it gets to be too much.

I think I ought to just dump one of my e-mail accounts & never login to it again. And readjust my important subscribed emails to benefit my needs.

There are certain e-mails that you get daily points for. But I know what you mean it can be just too many. You can tick the little box when you post a comment no to reply. As far as the teams go you can go you your mail page and take the choice of not receiving e=mails. But remember you will be letting go of some very important information. It only takes a minute to delete what you are considering annoying. Don't leave this program just because you don't like e-mails. Some days I get like 26 usually at the end of a week when all the teams are reporting the weekly totals. I highlite the one I don't want and read only the ones I want. It is not a big deal. emoticon
