So Wednesday I saw the doctor. I got the results of the blood work she had ordered. They come in as: Glucose 100, Total cholesterol 126, Tri 119, LDL 59, HDL 43, blood pressure 140/82, weight was down 10 pounds from my pap visit with the OB/GYN in Sept. 2009.
Personally I would like to have seen more weight loss BUT I hadn't been exercising. Doctor really liked the weight loss though specially over the holidays. I had been eliminating HFCS from my diet. It is gone completely. No HFCS left at all. Doctor liked that as well. I also haven't been exercising as regular as I should have been. Doctor didn't like that. SOOOO...
She said that she is giving me three months to get me rear in gear. I need to get the blood pressure to a healthy level or she is putting me on meds. I don't want that. I have known this was coming. I have been working on healthy living. Just not doing the dirty work. Now is the time to get my hands dirty. She gave me a plan. I get my blood pressure checked weekly. I exercise 3 times a week. Increasing the time on the machine by 5 minutes every two weeks until I am up to 60 minutes. Then I add another day. And start the process again until I am up to 60 minutes a day 5 days a week.
She has me eating a decent amount of calories. Which was in line with the sparkpeople guidelines. It is a plan that I can follow. I know I can stay of those meds. I know I can make it. I just needed someone to push me off the ledge.
