So I finally got desperate, and posted an ad on craigslist, for a workout buddy. Got a few responses.. Obviously people don't know how to read properly. I wanted someone local in the same city area as me, and people were emailing me, asking me if I'd be willing to meet them half way and stuff, when they live on the other side of the island! Seriously!
BUT.. I did have a good connection with one lady! We're meeting monday morning at the gym! I'm super excited. We both have very similar goals, same amount of weight loss goals, and just all around view working out in the same eyes. it's amazing how many girls don't think that weight lifting/resistance training is proper for girls. doing just cardio isn't the only way to get in shape!
My husband finally agreed to let me join a gym! The gym is about .8 miles from the house! So I'm going to walk there & back. I'm really excited about working out again, and with this girl.. She seems like she's going to be a really good motivation!
I recently had some blood work done with my fertility doctor... Unfortunately, my triglyceride level and HDL levels are pretty high. I forget what the HDL is, but the triglyceride level is 292!!! OUCH! it's supposed to be under 150! :( So I need a major adjustment in my diet, and really crank out the working out and weight loss. I about cried when I saw those numbers! Then of course, I go home and google it.. and of course every possible BAD thing, comes up and freaks me out!
So yeah, needless to say, I HAVE to get these levels down and get my weight under control, before I end up having a heart attack or stroke or something else, especially when I'm only 25.. almost 26!
