Tough beginning...

Last week wasn't too bad, I made some progress and gained a little momentum. This week hasn't been quite as successful. I skipped my cardio on Monday because I was so wrapped up in preparations for an upcoming work project. My plan was to make up for it on Tuesday by taking my morning Zumba class followed by my strength training circuit. A series of work calls thwarted that plan so I packed a bag and planned to hit the gym after work. I did make it to the gym but by the time I got there I wasn't feeling very good. I made it through my circuit but only did half my cardio.

After visiting the doctor today, I found that I have an infection that is in my throat and working its way through my sinuses. Now on antibiotics for the next week. Needless to say, another day without a workout and my nutrition is barely passing.

Feeling a bit bummed. I know I'll start to feel better once the medicine kicks in, I just feel discouraged at losing momentum so early on.

    Oh, that stinks. It's totally understandable to feel like you're losing ground while sick. While you're not feeling up to exercising, you could plan to devote the time you would have spent doing that to SparkPeople - reading articles, posting on the message boards, checking out other members' blogs. That way, you'll still be using that time to focus on a healthier you. Mind food is just as important as body food. : )
