So a few weeks ago, my husband borrowed the P90X dvd's from a friend because he wanted to get into better shape (not that he's AT ALL in bad shape) and these videos KICKED HIS BUTT. By the 3rd day of he video's, he was so sore he couldn't raise his arms above shoulder level, nor could he bend them past 90 degrees. Though I felt bad for him, I did take advantage of the situtation. Its not often I get to tickle him nonstop without reprecusions. Besides, he did milk it for a week, saying that he couldn't scrub dishes because it hurt too much. =P
So my husband took a week off from P90X after just 3 days of doing it and we decided that it is a program that you should build up to, rather than jumpin in head first. These workouts are no joke. Its called P90 because most of the workouts are 90 minutes or more! I don't know what I was thinking, but my husband has convinced me to do the program with him. We are doing regular workouts this week to prepare for P90X and we'll be starting the program on Monday.
Today, we took the fit test which is supposed to determine if you are fit enough to do the program. We both passed with flying colors. I couldn't do a pullup though, which was pretty sad. However, I did 20 regular pushups and beat my husband at the wall sit. I have to admit that, though this will probably be the hardest I have worked since high school, I'm excited to see the results.
Well, I'm also trying to get more sleep these days so I better go to bed. I'll write more after our next workout!
