Relating too closely to SlimQuick commercial

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

So, my darling husband decided he wants to lose weight. He knows that I am also working on becoming healthier. He does not eat fruit or veggies - ever. First week weigh-in, I lost 2 pounds (HALLELUJAH), him - 4. I "cheated" and stepped on the scale this morning and I'm down 2 more pounds. I tell him; his response? "I'm down another 4, course it doesn't count till Friday". Are you kidding me?? Every time I see those SlimQuick commercials, I swear the creator knows us! I'm staying on track, a couple bumps here and there, but no more than he has had. I work out more than he does and I eat better. What the ----???
By the way, I've tried SlimQuick in the past and it didn't work for me. I think because I was focusing on "dieting" and not living healthy. That, and as the disclaimer in small print on the commercial says, I'm not a cartoon - which can lose weight easily and quickly.
Well, I will not let this get to me (too much anyway). I am still in the race - which is more than I can say when I've tried this route before. In the past, by now I've given up due to those bumps and someone having quicker results with less effort that I have put forth. So, congrats to you my DH! And may we both be winners in April!
