South Beach, Day 1....take #4?

Last week I did really good. I went to the gym M-W. Monday and Tuesday I hit the newer elliptical machines. Love them! Wednesday I did Yoga. Thursday I skipped for 2 reasons. #1- we had a snow storm and it took me forever to get home, #2- I kinda injured my back in yoga again :(

They switched my gentle flow yoga to "Yin Yoga" some lower body holding poses yoga. There are a few positions we do that really hurt my back. I need to stop doing them, OR stop taking that class! Yesterday I was in horrible pain. I took a muscle relaxer left over from my c/section. Today I have a constant burn in my lower back :( I brought my gym bag so we'll see how I feel this afternoon.

Now back to the reason of my post. I'm back on South Beach, day 1, phase 1. So far it's going okay. I know my downfalls will be snacks, lunches and dinner. So we'll see. I KNOW this is how I need to eat to lose weight. And I KNOW I need to cut the sugar habit.

So here's hoping to a quick and easy 2 weeks ;)

    You might want to talk to your Yoga instructor about what you can do to modify the poses that are bothering your back. I have tendonitis in my thumb and I spoke to my instructors about it. They were great about helping me modify my poses so as not to hurt myself more.
