I am so proud of ME!

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Yes, I am going to blow my own horn for a minute. I finished the first week of the couch to 5K program yesterday. emoticon

I even started week 2 today. I know I'm not supposed to do them 2 days in a row, but I am going to be in a hotel until Thursday, and last time the treadmills were both broken. So, I didn't want to chance not getting all 3 in this week. The workout was not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. I was huffing and puffing pretty good, but I was able to do the entire 20 minute workout.

It actually wasn't that bad. I bought me a pair of running shoes today. They are awesome. I was having some foot pain because of my arches. Well, I think that's why. I went to New Balance here in San Antonio and they fit me with some shoes. Like I said they are awesome. My feet do not hurt at all.

This week is going to be busy. Luckily, I am taking Friday off to go to Dallas and look for an apartment and we have Monday off so it will be a nice 4 day weekend. Both of my aunts have been really helpful and have been looking online for what I am looking for. I also have to buy my bridesmaid dress this weekend.

I started packing this weekend. I am getting rid of a trash bag full of clothes that are too big. That is so exciting. I am saving one pair of jeans so that when I am at my target weight I can see how much I have lost.

Ok, I am done rambling. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I loved reading this today. Everything from the workout program to cleaning out old BIG clothes to looking for a new apartment in Dallas sounded so up beat. Sounds like you are going full speed ahead with your life and enjoying every step. And speaking of steps...I myself know how great it is to find a pair of shoes that work for you. Hooray for you. That makes all the difference in the world. Enjoy that 4 day weekend. I know it's going to be busy...but I hope it turns out great for you. mary
