Walking in the Pink

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Winsten and I got out of the house for our walk a bit late this morning.

I woke up and looked out the window at an incredibly beautiful pink and red sky. Rushed to get dressed, shoes on, find the pedometer and timer, whistled for sleepy head Winsten, and away we went.

We didn't get the best of the glory of the sunrise, but I did manage to get some of it.

We were definitely "In the Pink" as the saying goes.

It was so invigorating that we did 5.25 miles in 61 minutes.

I truly believe I could have done more, but I am increasing my mileage in small steps so as to not burn out or get my body sore.

It is absolutely amazing as to how much stronger I feel after these walks. I definitely get a "Glow On"!

Now, off to the shower and then to the quilt room.

I have yet to figure out where you live. I know the town, but with my knowledge of this area, and seeing you're pictures I can not figure it out. lol.

Absolutely beautiful scenery to view when you're walking. and 5.25 miles in 61 minutes is fantastic! Bet you're just wearin' the soles out in your shoes!

Way to go!!! I love the sky in the morning because it is God's canvas and he has the prettiest colors and they cannot be reproduced by any machine that man has made. We can come close but not paint the sky as beautifully as the Lord. God truly is amazing and wonderful and no matter how I feel during the day I know that he is with me and he let's me know that he is wonderful everyday.
Just think, if the earth were closer to the sun we would burn up and if we were further away we would freeze. If our brain didn't tell our heart to pump, and our heart didn't pump blood to our brains we would die. If we lost or gained one chromosome we would not be humans. If our bodies did not function properly everyday we would not be able to listen to beautiful music by artists, read books by authors or see beauty in the world.
Keep up the good work and remember to enjoy a little beauty in everyday.

The skies have been beautiful in the mornings. I need to learn how to operate the camera to capture some. You are doing excellent in your mileage and time in for your walking. The woods are so much more inviting than this pavement around my house. emoticon emoticon emoticon
