Sunday the 10th

Sunday, January 10, 2010

I up up early thinking that I have not accomplished much towards my journey. I have been having problems sleeping lately and I just wonder if that is affecting my diet. I know it expresses that it is essential to get 8 hours.

I have too much going on in my little brain that I just wake up with stuff on my mind. I need Lunesta!!! Ambien makes me sleep but I wake right up.

So this morning I am going to attempt to be positive, take a warm bath and read The Spark!! All this after my laundry.

I try to use sleepless nights as extra prayer time. I start trying to pray for family, friends, church, students, and co-workers. I generally fall asleep before getting to all of them though.

I actually got Lunesta as a script from my pulmonologist after I started back on midnights and wasn't able to sleep through the day for those shifts; it only gives me 6 hours of sleep and then I'm wide awake again. I don't know when I actually get an entire 7 or so hours of sleep altogether any night cause of things either waking me up or I just wake up and stare at the

I have noticed though if I exercise in the late afternoon, it interrupts my sleep, on the weekends, I need not get on that Wii after 5pm or I'm finished.

And also it's easier said than done many times, but just as you lay your head on your pillow, softly ask God to take all your thoughts away and ask Him to put you to sleep. It does work, I just wish I'd remember it more.

Hang in there! emoticon

I am having the same troubles...only the root of my issue is different. I think the bath and book sound great! I am just doing what I can till the stress is a bit more manageable :) So...don't lose heart and just keep doing what you can. Even a little will help keep you on your path towards your goals :)

AMEN - I fully agree with Quad Mom - ask the Lord to take the thoughts from you and allow peace within - the devil needs to stop knocking at your door! I will keep you in my prayers...

Good morning my friend. I know what is is like to wake up thinking. When that happens to me, I pray and ask that the thoughts be taken from me so I can go back to sleep.
