I'm happy to say that I have some motivators this year. Last year, I didn't have anything to look forward to, nothing to work hard to reach. In 2010, I have some events coming up that are keeping me going.
In February 2010, I'll be visiting some friends I haven't seen for a long time. This has pushed me to work hard and clock in some cardio almost every day. It's coming up so soon, and I know I won't look much different, but every little bit counts.
In June 2010, one of my dearest friends is getting married and I am one of her bridesmaids! (I've never been a bridesmaid before!) I want to look my best in that bridesmaid dress and I want to look fit when I visit some old friends. This is going to be such a happy occasion and I don't want to look like a chubster in the wedding photos. This event is my biggest motivator!
There are two other motivators that I am considering: a 5k in March and a 4-mile route for AIDS Walk 2010 in April. I've never done a 5k, so I would like some words of wisdom, advice, tips, etc. I think both of these events would help me stay focused through June.
