My first blog of the New Year! Yay! So far 2010 has been good to me. I felt like I fell off the wagon a little bit at the beginning of the New Year, but then I worked extra hard and at this week's weigh-in for my BL Challenge, I lost another pound and a half. I'm only a pound away from my ten-week goal of 168 pounds. Meaning, I'm only 9 pounds away from my ultimate goal of 160! YAY!
I'm also doing the Spark Your Body Bootcamp. Only doing the video for strength a day isn't enough for me, but I really love how challenging the videos are. It's been fun. I started on Jan 3rd at 171 pounds, so we'll see where 30 days takes me.
Today's bonus challenge for Bootcamp is to limit my caffeine intake. I realized how bad of a problem I have!! I've given up every one of my crutches...I quit smoking on December 16th, 2009. Cold turkey. Smoked my last cigarette on Tuesday, and haven't even had a puff. I was just at my best friend's going away party on Wednesday and she asked me for a cigarette, and I was happy to say I didn't have any! Yay! I've also quit my fast food habit. I fiend for KFC. LOL. I love fried. I love grease. This morning I had the opportunity to eat frosted cake donuts that were left in my kitchen. I stared. I smelled. I fantasized. (How weird is that?!) I walked away and ate a grapefruit.
Basically, I'm thinking about...could I give up caffeine? I've tried. I get an awful headache. I quit my SBUX habit, saving me $5 a day. But I looooove coffee. I've never been a fan of whole soda, but I looooooove Diet Dr. Pepper. And Diet Code Red Mtn. Dew. And diet Energy drinks. I used to drink 3 whole energy drinks a day (at 400 calories a can, and I wonder how I got pudgy). I'm a caffeine whore. Especially since I've had my son and need to be super mom, running around chasing a naked 16 month old around the house trying to diaper him. LOL!
I'm up for a true challenge though. So I'm going to start slowing down on the soda and Coffee. Will keep you posted. :)
