It is better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand days as a lamb.
- Roman proverb

Are you a lion or a lamb?
I look at myself right now as a lamb, because I am very timid and shy I do not like to stir up problems and I see that I tend to let others lead and I follow. one of the things I am trying to learn and working hard on putting into my life is to be more of a lion. I see a person as a lion who is a leader, who is not afraid to speak their mind, and someone who does not let others push her or him around. I want to be that type of person, but I have been a lamb for so long that it will be a lot of hard work to retrain my self to be the type of person that I want to be. I also pray to God to give me direction to help me thru each day and to become a better woman of God.

I am going to step to the side a little...I think most of us with food issues need to become more assertive without becoming aggressive and sometimes that can be a fine line. We have to stand on what the Lord gives us without trampling the other guy. The Me First attitude is the world not the Bible and God will not lead us away from what He has spelled out in His Word. emoticon

Happy Friday! emoticon

I agree, I am a lion on some aspects and lamb on others. Moving towards being a lion comes with self confidence which will come as you achieve your goals. Baby steps and take things one day at a time.

You can do this. Set small goals and don't forget to reward yourself.

I couldn't agree with you more. I don't like confrontation, so I tend to be a wall flower. I would also like to come out of that protected shell and show the world the inner me. Hopefully with some weight lose, and increased confidence; this can happen - after all -when today's gone , it's gone. So move on to the next day with anticipation!!

I am a lion and a lamb - depends on the situation and the person. I'll bet there are times you do speak up (probably with a good friend or family member). Draw on those times to teach yourself. But remember that being a lamb is no all bad and being a lion is not all good.
