I've hardly been on SparkPeople at all since I started my job (notice no blog posts since then!) I've also slacked off on exercise and have been doing too much snacking at work. Other than in my weekly belly dance class, I've barely exercised at all. Some of my jeans I bought last year are getting a little snug, so it's time to get moving.
I indulged way too much over the holidays, so my first goal is to get back to eating healthy and tracking my food. Even if I only get to the tracking for breakfast & lunch, I'll be more aware of what I eat, even through the evening and it'll give me motivation to not eat so many treats. Unfortunately, we've still got a bunch of cookies & candy in the house from X-mas. I'm not going to throw it out, but I'll see if I can make it last at least until Spring. (Though once the box of See's is opened, hubby will probably clean it off pretty fast. I'll have to snag my faves & hide them somewhere for a special treat :) )
I'm taking a second dance class, at least temporarily. My teacher is letting some of us intermediate students take her advanced class for a while b/c it's had low attendance lately. We're learning a drum solo, so that should be a little faster paced - more cardio. I'm going to try to do other cardio things at least a couple times a week. It's still hard to find time with my schedule, but I know I need to do it. I need to start practicing dance between classes as well--been slacking off there.
I'm also determined to try to do at least some crafting each week. I've got a few projects with deadlines, so that should motivate me through the end of the month, at least. I'd also like to redo my website & add a blog. I need to photograph more of my work & post it online, maybe start a Flickr account. If only I could take one day off a week from my day job do work on all that! I know if I can get myself to do a little something on most days, then that will be a good start.
Oh, ...and hubby finally agreed back in September that we should start trying to get pregnant. Finally! I've been ready for a while. No luck yet, but I'm hopeful it will happen before I turn 40 in May.
Wish me luck in keeping up with things this year. I let the heavy work schedule & long commute with my new job get to me. It took a while to adjust to not being such a night owl. Time to start reclaiming more time for me.
