...it's to cold,
...it's to windy,
...I don't have the *right* running clothes,
...it's too late,
It's all a bunch of crap is what it really is!!
I just didn't FEEL LIKE running today.
*I can't* simply translated means "I just don't want to do it and I'm going to make up all the excuses I can so I feel better about not doing it"....PERIOD!
I can't run in the cold and wind?
...Ok, so for this girl who has been living in the milder Florida winters for the last 26 years, YES it's stinkin' cold and windy outside! But really come on....It's NOT that brutal!
It's 45 degrees and the winds are NW at 8 to 10 mph. My friends in the northern states, Canada, Alaska, etc are running in much colder, winder, AND wetter (snow) weather! Did it stop me when it was cold on Saturday when I ran my first race of the year AND got a new PR in the process?? NO!!
So, that is not a good reason for not running today.
I cant' because I don't have the right clothes????
...What does THAT mean?? I got clothes! And LOTS of them (just in smaller sizes now...LOL) Just do what my friends in those cold states do.....LAYER THEM! There is another excuse thrown out!

....Oh BOO HOO....POOR ME! DH woke me up earlier than usual. So I didn't get 8 hours sleep. I've ran on LESS sleep than that!....Can I have some CHEESE (reduced fat of course) to go with my WHINE?? Another excuse that just isn't gonna cut it!
I can't because it's late???
....Give me a break....it's 2pm! Now I'm just looking for ways out.
Definitely NOT a good excuse.
Well, guess what folks? I thought about those *I can'ts* and NOT one of them was a good enough reason to not do what I know I should do.
So, even though I didn't want to do it, guess what happened?
I took my I CAN'T attitude and turned it into an I CAN attitude.
And I ran 6 miles!!
Life IS Good!
